Images of Magic & Transformation, 2011 in progress
CMYK SerigraphsImages of Magic and Transformation is a series currently in progress. Working with hand screen-printing CMYK
halftone techniques, each image in the series is sourced from the Internet, primarily from screen shots of YouTube videos. Images of cartoons I fantasized of as a child are removed from their analog beginnings, reworked digitally, and printed using an outdated commercial process. Each image is manipulated by removing any recognizable characters, leaving only illustrations of magic and transformation.
