New Mexico and Four Corners – Day 8

Date

Leaving Albuquerque on Sunday, I wound my way through the back roads of New Mexico, weaving in and out of Utah and Colorado, in search of the elusive Four Corners National Monument. Located on Navajo land, the monument was circled by empty stalls where I presume during the busy summer season, many Natives sell their wares. Only a few booths were occupied and the monument was largely deserted. Of course, I made sure to stand in all four states at once, fulfilling a childhood dream born from 4th grade geography class.
